Our mission

Ending Period Poverty in the US.

In the United States, 12 million women between the ages of 12-52 live below the poverty line. Most of these women cannot adequately find access to feminine hygiene products and thousands of American girls are forced to skip or leave school each day because they don’t have or cannot afford products. When handouts do occur, they are for cheap, toxin-laden items.

Project Code Red is set to disrupt this divisive cycle. We believe in leveling the playing field when it comes to accessing education on a daily basis, and removing inequalities that exist in the availability of high-quality organic products; which all women should have access to.

The depressing stigma surrounding periods and period products has created an extremely unhealthy culture for our young women, and one that directly affects a young girl’s potential to succeed. Fueling an acceptable culture of missed school, a situation that further pushes young students to miss 145 days in their lifetime. Exacerbating the educational gap between young women and men, who do not have to miss proper educational days.

Our aim is to stop this perpetual failure by recognizing the irreversible impact this situation has on our society. Aiming to end Period Poverty in the US, Project Code Red provides products, scholarships and educational support to young girls and women in need.

Many girls miss up to 145 days of schooling due to not having period products. They have no choice but to stay at home. Our mission is it permanently change this.
